A club for Ford Mustang, Mercury Cougar and Vintage Ford owners and enthusiasts!
The Sun Country Mustang Club (SCMC), founded September 18, 1991, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the preservation, enjoyment and usage of 1964 ½ to present Ford Mustangs, Shelbys and Mercury Cougars, along with other vintage Ford vehicles. As a non-profit organization, proceeds from our shows and other activities are donated to charities selected by club members.
We have monthly meetings at Round Table Pizza in Yakima, WA at 7:00 pm on the 4th Tuesday of each month, though many members show up early to enjoy some food and fellowship prior to the actual meeting. Some of the activities enjoyed by club members include tours, car shows, parades, breakfast runs, picnics, cruise-ins, delivering Thanksgiving baskets, hauling local high school royalty at various events, our Christmas party and banquet and our annual “Ponies in the Sun” car show held every September at Sarg Hubbard Park in Yakima.
We are a club for all people. Do not be concerned if your car is not in show condition; most important of all is the enthusiasm and fellowship you gain by meeting people with common interests.
The “Galloping Gazette” monthly newsletter is published for all members, including information on club activities, shows and other events of interest throughout the PNW plus technical tips and automotive trivia.
